239. Charming bakery located in calle Provença right on the Eixample of Barcelona. This is a strategic location since right across from the street there is a lab for people to get blood tests. As you have to go without eating or drinking, people get out with the need for breakfast, and right it is, just across the street: PRAKTIK! 
This bakery has bread made on the go. Fabulous options of fresh bread to take away or to enjoy with fresh brewed coffee. Friendly staff. A little noisy and a little packed, but cute decoration and lovely atmosphere. the funny thing is to see the hotel lifts just across from the bread where the hotel guests access the breakfast lounge. Crazy!

236. If you are in the mood of traditional catalan and home cooked meal in a unique landmark in Barcelona try Mussol. This is a typical and traditional restaurant located at the very top of my favorite building in Barcelona: Las Arenas. 
All made in the oven, healthy dishes like baked vegetables, chicken, etc. Try their home made Alioli together with pan tomaquet, it is to die for!

233. Like every year around this time, Barcelona´s roses start popping up in the streets. Sant Jordi on 23rd April is the equivalent to Sant Valentine´s where the ladies offer a book to their men and the men offer a rose to the ladies. It is a beautiful day full of charm. 
This year there is even the possibility of making a substantial contribution to the world.  For instance Save the Children is selling roses for 6€ where most of the contribution will be for the Refugees. Please consider helping in this day, your contribution is vital. Thank you kindly!

231. If you are looking for a cool and funky concept for a coffee check this one out! Cup & Cake have coffee shops all over Barcelona and they are all different. I checked last Friday the one on Enrique Granados (right next to the diagonal) and it was kind of cramped but the coffee was delicious and the cakes and cookies all looked scrumptious. 
A lovely place to start enjoying the spring arrival with girly friends!! 

230. WOW! This restaurant is just wow!
Albert Adria brings the nikkei cuisine to Barcelona. as a matter of fact Pakta is the only place in Barcelona which offers Nikkei cuisine, a Peruvian-Japanese mix. In the Quechua language of Peru ‘Pakta’ means “union”.
You can tell the fusion of both cuisines by its interior which looks like a Japanese tavern yet with the colors, music and warmth of Peru. 

The kitchen is jointly headed by Peruvian Jorge Muñoz and the Japanese-born Kyoko Ii. The restaurant is owned and overseen by Albert Adrià. 

Incredible and beautifully presented dishes, typical from both countries. with two tasting menus: Machu-Pichu and Fujiyama. Superb service. This is a whole attraction more than just a restaurant. a must try if you are into trying new culinary experiences! 

229. We just love when that time of the year comes again, when the sun, after a few showers starts peaking. The smell of cocktails, beach, sandy scenery and a lot of light starts coming to mind. Check out the trendiest of places in Barcelona this time: SALT Beach Club located in Barcelona´s landmark the Hotel W. 
A wonderful place to chill out in the evening watching the sun come down in the beach, or enjoy a light lunch with the family or a burger (if you eat meat) with friends! It has all types of atmosphere depending who you are planning the visit with. Love it!

228. You know me! Always in search of perfection in terms of Sushi. There are so many elements that make a sushi experience a real unique one or a catastrophe. Sushi fresh will give you a unique one!  I have only tied it by ordering at the office but their restaurant pictures look amazing too. Let me tell you of my experience. Super well presented, very sleek and organised, their online system is incredible super easy to order with a huge variety and within less than one hour you have it, proved! 
The presentation as I said is amazing, super clean, very cute containers for wasabi and soya sauce and the taste to die for, fresh and lovely! Try it!

227. This is one of the cutest and most sweet shop I have seen in Pedralbes Center - Barcelona. Full of adorable kid´s decor, ideal for Easer, birthdays, Christmas o even marriage. They offer all sorts of kid´s sweets presented in many different and wonderful packages. Cute!

226. If you are thinking of organising a special birthday for a loved one or just a fancy dinner, or a work venue, OPTIONS is your place. They have an amazing variety of different decors. My favorite thing is that they have international decorations according to the type of gathering you wish to organise. From Moroccan, to Mexican to Canadian... they have evey country! Very cool! 225. I just love seeing how new concepts are starting to arise and show up in Barcelona. There is a hole generation of people who have either studied or worked abroad, have seen new trendy ideas and now are implementing them in Barcelona!
This is the case with this brand new place known as Wer-Haus. It’s not easy to spot from the street as it has a discrete entrance, but once in this hug space and light just swallows you in and you just want to discover more and more. This space looks like a warehouse is divided into three spaces: gallery - restaurant/ bar and shop. A Very cool concept. The best part? The food, healthy and to die for!

​224. I am fascinated by this event. The next 21st April, Urban Chefs will be organising a unique and amazing event in Barcelona! 
A participant of the famous TV Programe Top Chef will be hosting a cooking show followed by a special dinner. All inspired in his native country Ecuador. 
Alex Clavijo will be offering a unique gastronomical experience with 6 dishes, and drinks such as organic wine!

223. This is one of the sweetest shops in Barcelona. We are lucky enough to have a wonderful swiss chocolaterie LINDT right on Eixample. This shop offers an amazing self service buffet of delightful chocolates filled with a huge variations: from champagne, to strawberry and event mint. Their white chocolate is to die for and a perfect compliment for serving coffee when having guests for dinner! check it out!

221. This past weekend we discovered with my delighful Sushi friends Patri & Carlo a new Sushi MUST in Barcelona: Nobuko. 
It was quite empty as we went at the exact same time as when the Football match was taking place, but it was still a superb experience. Friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere and decoration, sleek, chic and clean! 
Great menu, with many sushi variantions, noodles and gyozas.  Amazing presentation and even better taste! 
If you are a sushi lover you must try it and check it out at least one!

It is not usual that you are able to obtain “free money” from the European Central Banks, that is that banks are now able to borrow money from the ECB at 0% interest.
The idea behind this bold move from President Mr. Mario Draghi is that eurpean countries and private banks in europe will now be able to borrow at no interest so they can at the same time lower rates to the banks clients.
This is wonderful and it surely is a measure to be applauded. In reality banks are not the keen on not making a profit and even though it is better than ever to obtain money for them, you will probably still pay the same on your mortgage. Unfortunately for the average citizen if you are not an institution this measure will not probably affect us as all.
It may be possible however that the banks reduce their interest rates, so when you borrow money to buy a house the monthly payments you will be required to pay will be less than ever.
It is now the best time for you to buy a property! It has never been this cheap for you to obtain money and the property market in Barcelona is going up!
