443. ​ I just love discovering new places that you wouldn’t read about them anywhere....! check this out! The bakery inside the Market located in Vila de Gracia known as the Mercado de L´Abaceria has the most wonderful bread i have found in Barcelona. Walnuts, Greek big black olives, turmeric, and even figs. Every day they have different sorts and they are all amazing. Beside French bread this has the most fluffy and tasty breads in Barcelona in my option. And there are more I have not tried, trying to keep in shape, but for those gourmet tastes, they have chocolate and amazing cocas de recapte 8catalana style pizzas). Must try! Let me know if you do! In this case my latest trip to Amsterdam I would like to share this lovely discovery we made: Blue Spoon in the Andaz hotel. This lovely place offering fine European cuisine was a treasure within the city. This lovely and quaint restaurant is located in this sweet boutique hotel with only over 11 rooms with an exquisite decoration done by Marcel Wanders, including a secret garden inspires in Alice in Wonderland. Did you think of why it’s called Bluespoon? The inspiration was from a regular visitor who just loved spending time in the hotel decoration and inspiring others in the chicness of fashion! 436.  HG Gallery is pleased to announce Andy Warhol's painting and works on paper exhibition, from Rudolf Bubja's collection, which will take place on September 29th to October 28th.
 
The exhibition spans Warhol’s career, from his painting of Donald Judd to his later portraits of Mao Tse-Tung. Other major paintings and pieces represented include a Polymer paint on cotton of the celebrated Tuna Disaster, the blue dollar, Querelle, Marie-Louise Jenerette, Joseph Beuys, Lenin or a unique signed and dated Keith Haring t-shirt. The exhibition focuses on Warhol’s adoption of the silkscreen technique, a move that made him realize his seamless integration of high art and mass culture. This exhibition is accompanied by a unique takeover of the HG Gallery Store offering a selection of exclusive products and memorabilia devoted to Andy Warhol. There will also be special events and a brief introduction of Andy Warhol journey.

433. As you might know, each year Barcelona celebrates its Day of La Mercè at the end of September. Each year between the 24th and the 25th of September, Barcelona hosts an Open day of Museums. Beautiful landmarks with unique architecture offering hidden treasures. 
This year we had the chance of visiting the Barcelona Museum of Design. Divided into four main exhibitions: Furniture, Fashion, Ceramic and Graphic design. 
The Furniture was one of my favourite parts, where you could see really old pieces and also unique ones like the brown chair with revolutionised the contemporary furniture world. 
The second floor was dedicated to Fashion, where you could see really tight corsets (like Princess Sisi would wear in during Austria-Hungarian Empire) to modern clothes. On the third floor there are incredible ceramic pieces and if you watch closely you can even find unique elements created by Picasso and Miró himself! 
Finally the Graphic Design section of advertisement pieces back from my childhood. 
Really fun place where you can observe how design has evolved during the past century.

​432. This past week I had the pleasure of dining in one of the many Michelin Stars restaurants that Barcelona has to offer. This time it was located within a beautiful landmark: The Hotel Arts right in front of the sea. This beautiful restaurant: Enoteca led by Two Michelin Star Chef Paco Pérez has more than 700 wines in its cellar. A Wonderful Tasting menu and gentle yet classy white decor, just as I love it! The bread is to die for and the best as always: dessert! The famous Galleta Principe is cleverly replicated in the form of a tasty cold dessert. A perfect ending with its petit fours! Just bliss!
