429. At Urban Oasis we love cultural fusions. For instance this lovely Ikibana restaurant located in Sarria, one of three in Barcelona. You will remember our visit to the one located in el Parallel - Ikibana Paralel also in our article on the Top Ten Sushi Restaurants in Barcelona.
This lovely Japanese and Brazilian fusion space has a wonderful modern style decor in an ample and open space. They offer free valet parking from 20:30H, with a wider variety of sushi fresh options as well as their set menus staring from 38€ with Brazilian dishes included. A Wonderful place for a family gathering or a friendly catch up. Check it out, you wont go wrong!

Fan Ho - Taberna Oriental by Tragaluz

423. If you are in the urge of having nice Dim Sum, FanHo is your place. This lovely open plan restaurant has recently opened in Calle Valencia and is the sister restaurant of Tapas Tomate (which i still haven´t tried yet :) )
Really friendly service, very clean, quick and lovely Dim Sum. Love the atmosphere and decor, lovely toilets and great location.
A wonderful ending with a sweet chocolate Mochi to die for! The best part, I needed to charge my phone and they brought me a charger right to my table! Sweet!

Japan-Peruvian Concept

230. WOW! This restaurant is just wow!
Albert Adria brings the nikkei cuisine to Barcelona. as a matter of fact Pakta is the only place in Barcelona which offers Nikkei cuisine, a Peruvian-Japanese mix. In the Quechua language of Peru ‘Pakta’ means “union”.
You can tell the fusion of both cuisines by its interior which looks like a Japanese tavern yet with the colors, music and warmth of Peru.

The kitchen is jointly headed by Peruvian Jorge Muñoz and the Japanese-born Kyoko Ii. The restaurant is owned and overseen by Albert Adrià.

Incredible and beautifully presented dishes, typical from both countries. with two tasting menus: Machu-Pichu and Fujiyama. Superb service. This is a whole attraction more than just a restaurant. a must try if you are into trying new culinary experiences!

228. You know me! Always in search of perfection in terms of Sushi. There are so many elements that make a sushi experience a real unique one or a catastrophe. Sushi fresh will give you a unique one! I have only tied it by ordering at the office but their restaurant pictures look amazing too. Let me tell you of my experience. Super well presented, very sleek and organised, their online system is incredible super easy to order with a huge variety and within less than one hour you have it, proved!
The presentation as I said is amazing, super clean, very cute containers for wasabi and soya sauce and the taste to die for, fresh and lovely! Try it!

221. This past weekend we discovered with my delighful Sushi friends Patri & Carlo a new Sushi MUST in Barcelona: Nobuko.
It was quite empty as we went at the exact same time as when the Football match was taking place, but it was still a superb experience. Friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere and decoration, sleek, chic and clean!
Great menu, with many sushi variantions, noodles and gyozas. Amazing presentation and even better taste!
If you are a sushi lover you must try it and check it out at least one!

211. WOW! What a place! Stunning from the very beginning. hard to find, although its really big its so discrete its hard to tell. This restaurant from the tragaluz collection is known as negro y rojo. Negro is the part upstairs and Red downstairs. This post will give you the insight of the downstairs part where Sushi is served, and what a sushi!!! Fresh, tasty and well presented. Excellent & quick service with a friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere, romantic yet cool. Super clean and the menu is quite long and tasty. Great noodles and spicy rice to die for. Very fresh. A 5***** place!!! if you are a sushi lover, need to check it out this weekend!

Japanese & Brazilian Fusion

190. El Paralelo is certainly staring to become the new Soho in Barcelona. Starting with Tickets by Famous Chef Albert Adria or Bodega 1900 also by him, a new concept comes up: Ikibana. This amazing Japanese & Brazilian fusion restaurant is a sushi wonderland. More than a restaurant is a fantastic entertaining space. They have a free valet parking waiting for you at the door (super easy to park) a friendly welcoming and then your table waiting! (Reservations recommended of course!). You can have either a cute romantic table or a cool and funky island (as they call it) with your friends and family. A fantastic sushi bar where you can see all the amazing creations and even a live music DJ on site! A little pricy, its best to order their set menu starting from 39€ with many courses and desserts to die for!
A very funky place if you are in the mood of sushi, something fun and something different! Full of internacional people, love it!!

Pure Japanese

180. This very chic restaurant known as El Japonés is located in the sweet passage right on Paseo de Gracia known as el Pasaje de la Concepción. It is part of the famous Grupo Tragaluz knwon frits "know how" with regards to restaurants and bonne cuisine. El Japones use to be located across the road but now with the new space it is even more chic and authentic. Right across is the sushi shop which also serves sushi at a more quick service and cheaper value (although good too). This is a little lever higher, with authentic Japanese waiters serving your food and unbelievable fresh sushi. Although a little pricy, a must try at least once.

174. This is by far the best sushi I have tried so far in Barcelona. Parco is easily recognizable for tits bamboo right on its outside. Once you walk in this cool designed restaurants has a very friendly staff and one of the most tasty sushi´s I have come across so far. Same owners as Mori from the Roca Village, same taste different location.
Superb noodles, sashimis and makis right on Paseo de Gracia. If you are a sushi lover this is a must place for you!

144. Sushi again! Just love it when you come across a nice, clean well presented, chic and finally tasty sushi restaurant! So few of them around, so difficult to come across! It is a must share!! Zuka is currently in Sant Cugat but are soon a opening one in our City Barcelona! I would not recommend their 21 piece surprise sushi! I would rather get individual ones even though they are more expensive! Also its best not order the take away menu where you can see the picture of what you are ordering so you don’t get any surprises! Their desserts are amazing specially their gelatos, home made, fresh and tasty! Try their cocoa, vanilla or mandarin sorbet! Amazing!

Pink, pink, pink.. Miss Sushi

114. If you are shopping in L´Illa and you fancy having sushi you could try Miss Sushi. It is located in the shopping mall´s courtyard next to the other restaurants. It is heavily pink decorated. at first you think how cool, but as the meal goes by you think it might be a bit too much. The manager and waiters are the best part of the restaurants, super nice and super quick, however the sushi is not the best quality, the rice seems a little old... not fresh.. I feel sorry for the guys as they seem very very nice and try to make an efforts, and by looking how packed the place was you think it is quite popular and it must be good but I don´t think I will be trying it again, I am happy I tried it but not convinced of the concept :) sorry.. Oh! and by the way! Reservation is a MUST!

110. If you are planning on having a wonderful shopping day at the Roca village, grab a bite at Mori, a funky and cool restaurant offering delicious and quality sushi.
Their menu is not large, but I can sincerely say that it is one of the best sushi’s I have had in Barcelona.
It is run by the same people of Parco in Barcelona located in Paseo de Gracia. Have not been yet but will soon and certainly will let you know about it!

Best Asian in Barcelona inspired by Ferran Adria!

101. So many months hearing about this place, I finally managed to check it out myself! At first it looked like an art gallery, it happens to be a hotel (called Casa Camper), and within the hotel there is a bar which looks a little doggy but its actually quiet funky and once in the Bar there is a tiny restaurant which is the jewel of Las Ramblas, Dos Palillos. This El Bulli student was part of Ferran Adria´s team and now leads this original Asian restaurant.
Another curiosity, is that right outside you can see the Chef´s shuirt signed by all the team members of El Bulli, Reaaaaallly cool!! Check out the photo on this post!
The most amazing part of this experience is to sit at the Bar and check out how they actually prepare the dishes. Each dish you order from their menu is cleverly prepared on a box and they take out all of the elements from that box to prepare it for you, fascinating! Better to go al lunch time for the executive menu.

Oriental Food, where better than the Mandarin Oriental!

62.The Mandarin Oriental has a number of differnet dinning options but my favourite on a trhusday night is the terrace! Located on the ninth floor of this chic and urban style hotel, is ocated this stylish bar which offers not only amazing cocktails but the most delicious sushi ever! The california roll was aparituclarly tasty, they are rather large but seem very fresh! Very cool to enjoy a suchi night out in a wonderful outdoor space overlooking hte beautiful city of Barcelona! Reservations recommended!

12. Right on my favorite area (eixample) I have recently discovered a sweet- undergroupd japanes restaurant, with so far, the best sushi in town! Miu is located in calle Valencia and is simply distinguished by its turquoise blue awning. Once downstairs, you are quickly seated and the menu is really affordable with various types of sushi and makis. i should certainly mention the miso salad - absolutely superb. the sushi is really tasty and well prepared and served in cute blue stylish rectangular plates. Its more of a lunch option rather than a dinner one. Great for he week while you are working as a treat!

10. I was very excited at first when I read a review about this international japanese restaurant. They have just launched in Barcelona after their success in Dubai and London and I was looking forward to having lunch there with my sushi lovers friends.

I must say it is a lovely place, unusual. It is located in the Arenas shopping mall and offers a wide variety of sushi and makis. if you r dream is to have sushi in one of those wooden boats, Watatsumi is your place.

Passion for Sushi!! Art. 34

When you are craving for sushi, you only think of two things: flavor and cleanness!! I found the perfect place for quality sushi at no risk! Sushi Shop!

They have two restaurants in Barcelona: one in Diagonal right next to Francesc Macia and the other one in Paseo de Gracia-Concell de Cent. I personally like the one in Diagonal as it is cozy and for a quiet dinner is ideal. I love the fact that all the menu is graphically explained so there is no surprises you get what you see. Their carrot blended in orange is particularly tasty and low calorie and their sushi surrounded in mint is particularly original. They offer two different soy sauces: the original flavor and a thicker-sweeter one... I went for that one! Very chic, modern, well presented, no surprises, quick service. 4****
