French Style Rotisserie in Barcelona

477. This has definitely become one of my favourite restaurants in the area of la Diagonal of Barcelona. A French Bistro inspired, with one speciality: chicken. Their special rotisserie has the most superb chickens in Barcelona. Beautifully presented dishes and superb French style desserts. an excellent service and I just love the decor typical French bistro with a modern touch. I would change the music to French classics but it is still lovely!
A definitely musts, easy parking and great if you are planning on going to a concert in Luz de Gas which is exactly what I did.
Really impressed! Lovely!

A vocados Fresh Food

472. This has become one of my favourite Barcelona pizza places! A Vocados, a word game since in Spanish it means "Bites! and in English Avocado as in the fruit. I love the international ambience of this place, the decoration, very modern yet cool and cozy, I love the Dali painting which kind of get all the attention from the restaurant, but for sure the piece de resistance is their pizzas! Truffle, jamón or Avocados! So fresh, so lovely, so fluffy! Must try!
Oh! And their nutella dessert feels like I don’t care about diet!!

Olive beautiful Olive Tree inspired restaurant

474. Beautiful restaurant recently refurbished, in the heart of Barcelona´s city centre. Wonderful greeting by the head Maître, and a wonderful ambience and decor. Be sure to be seated next to the Olive Tree patio right behind with high ceilings and beautiful green outlook Olive tree inspired. Catalan dishes, homemade desserts and an elegant and minimalistic atmosphere. Fresh fish, amazing tapas and tasty desserts absolutely stunning. This was opened in the early´s 1980´s and as it was successful they opened years later the Barceloneta.

473. This truly came as a huge surprise for us. Belonging to the same group as Barceloneta, and Olive this fascinating catalan and italian fusion cuisine is located in the Barcelona´s Eixample. Wonderful staff and amazing service. The menu is half catalan traditional cuisine and the other half italian. The presentation is beautiful, the foccacia as a starter is to die. They have an excellent antipasti buffet with typial italian dishes with a hint of catalan food.
The restaurant BarcelonaMilano is beautifully decorated with a wonderful Celler right on its centre.
A must try out and a for sure repeat one!

St. Valentin´s Day in Barcelona

467. There are places who really know how to make you feel special! This was the case during this St. Valentine’s Day with Xerta Restaurant, awarded with One Michelin Star, this is a wonderful culinary heaven located at the Hotel OHLA in Barcelona. These two brother Joaquim and Fran Lopez lead this Delta Representation in the Catalan Capital. After many generations, these two brothers have thrown themselves into the adventure of offering the amazing fresh sea products brought weekly from El Delta del Ebro into their restaurant Xerta. Their successful Hotel Villa Retiro located in Xerta led the way to a new culinary experience.
The plates are pure architectural design, exquisite service and the dishes to die for, however wait for dessert, in our case we went for the Big Bang, a chocolate representation of the galaxy with the Sun, the planets and of course planet earth, a true paradise and an ideal place to spend St. Valentine´s Day with your love one!

460. If you are looking for a lovely restaurant next to the beach in Barcelona, Try Can Fisher! It’s a wonderful restaurant with an international flair right next to the beach.
Fresh fish and, superb service with lovely presented dishes. The fried calamari are to die for with black squid ink calamari.
Few desserts on the menu to choose from, but the paella and fresh fish are truly 5 stars. Very nice to spend a day outdoors enjoying the sea view under the wintery sun!

Linia Restaurant at the Brand New Almanac Barcelona

465. After being in Vienna, Budapest, Prague the beautiful Almanac 5***** Hotel finally installs itself in our city Barcelona. I had the honour to enjoy our Christmas lunch at the Linia Restaurant, an elegant and superbly decorated space located on the ground floor of this beautiful grand building. Amazing service and wonderful food. Sleek presentation and incredibly tasty.
They have an executive menu 25€ or 39€ comprised by a starter, first course, main course, dessert, water and coffee.
Lovely experience, I strongly recommend having lunch there. My next must do will be to check out their beautiful terrace, perhaps when is less cold AZIMUTH!

435. There is a place just off Plaza Cataluña which you must must must go!! This Macchina Pasta bar (one out of the three there are in ten city) is a cool concept based on fresh pasta. This trendy bar offers a wide menu of fresh Italian pasta, with amazing sauces and fresh toppings such as cherry tomatoes, spinach or aubergines! A wonderful and fun concept restaurants, ideal to check out with friends or work colleagues on a busy day. Its quick service and the plates are quite filling. The menu price is no more than 9€! The desserts are to die for also freshly made Italian style!

432. This past week I had the pleasure of dining in one of the many Michelin Stars restaurants that Barcelona has to offer. This time it was located within a beautiful landmark: The Hotel Arts right in front of the sea. This beautiful restaurant: Enoteca led by Two Michelin Star Chef Paco Pérez has more than 700 wines in its cellar. A Wonderful Tasting menu and gentle yet classy white decor, just as I love it! The bread is to die for and the best as always: dessert! The famous Galleta Principe is cleverly replicated in the form of a tasty cold dessert. A perfect ending with its petit fours! Just bliss!

Another Wonderful Cultural Fusion

429. At Urban Oasis we love cultural fusions. For instance this lovely Ikibana restaurant located in Sarria, one of three in Barcelona. You will remember our visit to the one located in el Parallel - Ikibana Paralel also in our article on the Top Ten Sushi Restaurants in Barcelona.
This lovely Japanese and Brazilian fusion space has a wonderful modern style decor in an ample and open space. They offer free valet parking from 20:30H, with a wider variety of sushi fresh options as well as their set menus staring from 38€ with Brazilian dishes included. A Wonderful place for a family gathering or a friendly catch up. Check it out, you wont go wrong!

423. If you are in the urge of having nice Dim Sum, FanHo is your place. This lovely open plan restaurant has recently opened in Calle Valencia and is the sister restaurant of Tapas Tomate (which i still haven´t tried yet :) )
Really friendly service, very clean, quick and lovely Dim Sum. Love the atmosphere and decor, lovely toilets and great location.
A wonderful ending with a sweet chocolate Mochi to die for! The best part, I needed to charge my phone and they brought me a charger right to my table! Sweet!

The Most Fresh Tuna Ever - Now in Barcelona

421. Its been a while since i have been wanting to check this restaurant out since I announce its grand opening on April 6th. Check the article out here .
This sleek interior designed restaurants is a gastronomic space devoted and dedicated to fresh tuna caught by Balfego who accompany tuna from the Mediterranean all the way to L´Ametlla.
This restaurant is represented and led by three main chefs: Hideki Matsuhisa specialised in the Asian part of the menu, Marc Miro (specialised in Mediterranean Tuna who we wrote an article about this restaurant in L´Ametlla famous La Llotja and Martin Berasategui who is the Embassador for the Restaurant. An Amazing fresh tuna, excellent service, not cheap but not super expensive either. A Wonderful experience for those in love with tuna!! 5***** Experience!

FARGA.... delicious classy lunch

408. Last Friday we had the honor of lunching very important people!! We decided to try the most classic yet prestigious restaurant in Barcelona, La Farga. Original a very Barcelonian patisserie, now it has turned into a chic restaurants cafe. They have mid day menus of 17€ with authentic Mediterranean dishes, The best part? Dessert of course! A whole trolley of beautifully presented French inspired cakes to choose from. 5 Star service and extremely polite and friendly staff. We loved it and certainly a must!! Not too pricy for the sleekness and quality of the meal!

Grand Opening: Tunateca

400. Tomorrow 7th April a Grand Opening is taking place in Barcelona: Tunateca the fist gastronomic space in the world dedicated to tuna fish. This innovative space comes hand in hand with Balfego the company which specializes in the Red tuna. They identify them in the Strait and bring them towards the Mediterranean Sea close to the Ametlla de Mar where the tuna is fed blue fish until it reaches the minimum weight of 100kilos. Balfego only sells its tuna to restaurants. The company wants to bring people closer to the process to explain how its sustainable and it gives guaranteed to the continuation of the specie. From tomorrow people will have the opportunity to try this tuna not only in the restaurants but only in various workshops carried out by its Chef Hideki Matsuhisa . Can´t wait to go!!

Michelin Star Healthy Kitchen in Barcelona

386. Last Friday I received a whole bunch of surprises. Like every month, my culinary friends and I hook up to discover the trendiest restaurants in Barcelona. This time we were really impressed. I booked a table at @Celeri, a healthy kitchen located in the basement of a cute organic cafeteria. We were really well greeted. We were accompanied to our table, Wagamama style tables where you share with others. The daily menu is 25€ and guess what Chef Xavier Pallicer was awarded with a Michelin Star! Many famous people visit this restaurant, in fact there were two when we were there: Risto Mejide and famous hairdresser Llongueras. We just loved the service, the menu was absolutely impressively delicious, really sleek presentation and the best part: all organic and healthy. My favourite dish was the paper apple with orange sauce, an organic apple which they cut in a pasta like machine and is absolutely stunning! At the end, #Michelin Star Chef #XavierPallicer, came and sat with us to ask us for some feedback nad checking with were ok. We were very lucky to have him with us sharing his whole amazing story with us. It happens that he was sharing kitchen with Chef Santi Santa María and then he decided to create his own unique culinary heaven @Celeri inspired in Ayurveda, with more than 2500 creations presented daily! Can´t wait to go back! Amazing!!5*****

380. Sometimes you just feel like escaping from the urban world in search of nature! Barcelona has these fantastic mountains just an hour and a half always in which you can just get lost in its beauty. La Cerdanya is a wonderful natural habitat in which the magical place I am about to describe is located La Torre del Remei.
I used to pass by it whenever I would go skiing from a very young age, until I reach my teenager years and my extremely generous parents decided to take me and my brother for dinner. After more than 15 years i have now gone back with my sweetheart and it is indeed enchanting. The entrance seems like a breathtaking castle, the nature, the decoration, the energy, the people..Everything from La Torre del Remei is not only luxurious but above all magical!! This Relais Chateux hotel covers 3 hectares of breathtaking forest with 11 suites. Their restaurant is to die for with chef: Josep Maria Boix offers supreme dishes which you will think you have just found heaven on earth!

Dos Cielos - Hermanos Torres

383. This is yet another gastronomically show in Barcelona. This impressive and sleek restaurant located in one the Melia´s hotels in Barcelona has one of the most famous gourmet brothers not only in the culinary industry but in the tv business: the Torres Brothers (Javier & Sergio) lead this oasis within Barcelona: Dos Cielos. The name is a hint of two towers which are exactly the same which takes you two heavens: the twin chef brothers who with their culinary talent take your tasting pallets to heaven. Not cheap as a One Michelin star restaurants, but tremendously chic and impressive to celebrate a special occasion with your loved one. Amazing dessert which shocked me: a Swarovski boxes jewel made out of chocolate, wow!

Can Pizza - Best Pizza near Barcelona Airport

373. I am really considering creating a new category for Best Pizzas in Town. What do you think? I find it difficult to find good pizza here but actually there is a ton of places! My favorite is definitely @Cecconis (although not a lot of choice) but their pizza is the best! @Luigi´s a little cheaper (Menu del día 14,90€) is wonderful and my lat4est finding... @Can Pizza. This wonderful place is located in El Prat de Llobregat (near the airport). Very Italiany looking, wonderful foccacia bread, pizza is really tasty and the desserts absolutely to die for!!!
They are now expanding to a huge commercial unit in Molins de Rei. They must be doing something right!!! Check it out!

Best Bravas in Barcelona

362. After waiting for a special ocassion, finally last saturday my better half and I went to check out this fabulous restauranst: El Informal.
This laid back version of the Tinars from Michelin Star Chef Marc Gascons, is a wonderful place has the coziest decoration, the staff is super friendly and professional and the food to die for! The best part?' Their BRAVAS! Made "hojaldradas" to give it a special touch, these beauties are not only wonderully presented but the taste amazing! We couldn´t resits ordereing a second round!
I just love when restauransts practice mindfulness and give not only their best but want to suprise theie clientelle. Love it, 100% recomended and can´t wait to go again and impress my friends and family!
